What do you get when you connect a physician-advocate with students seeking to learn how they can impact change in their local community? You get programs like the Lung Health Ambassador Program, which teaches students to use science to promote lung health and prevent diseases that disproportionately impact vulnerable populations.

"The Lung Health Ambassador Program aims to teach the next generation of Baltimore City鈥檚 leaders about how to use science to help prevent lung health-related disparities by partnering with their local schoolteachers to teach science that鈥檚 actionable and create future advocates for the neighborhoods and communities of Baltimore City."

Focused initially on Baltimore city schools, the Lung Health Ambassador Program has expanded into other regions and added a targeted curriculum on COVID-19 in addition to other pulmonary diseases.
