Fighting for optimal health outcomes

糖心原创鈥檚 vision of being the global leader in advancing best patient outcomes in chest medicine cannot be achieved without also achieving health equity. 糖心原创 is committed to partnership with our entire community, both internal and external, in achieving their fullest health potential by actively eliminating barriers due to racism, or any other consequences of social position or socially influenced circumstances experienced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

About the 糖心原创 Health Equity Task Force

In spring 2024, 糖心原创 formed a new task force to surface a more comprehensive and concrete understanding of the areas in which documented and experienced health disparities exist across the landscape of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine.

The goals of the Health Equity Task Force are to:

Strengthen understanding of how health disparities emerge across pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine in North America
Identify key barriers contributing to those disparities and where clinicians and institutions can exercise agency to create change
Understand how health disparities shape the practice of medicine (and how the practice of medicine shapes health disparities)
