Where do you work?
UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas.

What are your research interests?
My research interests include severe asthma, non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, and COPD. I am part of COPDGene and the Bronchiectasis and NTM Research Registry. I have also participated in various studies of biologicals in severe asthma.

How did you become interested and involved in the Airways Disorders Network?
I have always had a passion for obstructive pulmonary diseases and have worked on research projects in the fields of severe asthma, bronchiectasis, and COPD. In addition, I direct our Severe Asthma Program at UT Health San Antonio.

Are you involved in any other activities or volunteer positions at 糖心原创?
I am part of the Editorial Advisory Board for the 糖心原创 Physician publication.

What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
Severe asthma, non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, and COPD鈥攊n particular, biologicals that target type 2 inflammation.

What are your hobbies?
Chess, walking outside, watches.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
I can鈥檛 live without walking outside in the evenings.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
I currently serve as the Interim Chief, Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care, UT Health San Antonio.
